Around Annapolis: Eastport girl is a veteran activist at the age of 14

It isn’t often that a teenager is considered a veteran of something. Josalyn Bonney, however, is precisely that – an eight-year veteran activist. At the age of 14, she has raised over $11,000 for the Rainforest Foundation US with a lemonade stand she sets up for Naptown visitors on the Fourth of July.
She started her lemonade stand at the age of 6 when her first-grade teacher at St. Martin’s Lutheran School taught about the rainforest. “We learned how people were destroying the rainforest and I thought it would be fun to try to help stop it,” Bonney said.
