Annapolis SPCA Walk/Run For The Animals

CRU participated in the SPCA Walk for the Animals yesterday. What lovely weather we had and a good time to be out there networking. We ran into many folks we know, some we have not seen in a while, vets, Animal Control people and lots of dogs. We are the only cat rescue that is in attendance so we represent all the kitties in the area. We made about $300 in donations thanks to Sandy Fitzpatrick and her salesmanship skills. She lets no cat figurine or picture go unsold. We would like to thank those who made the effort to attend and especially to help set up and take down equipment. Drum roll: Ray, Sandy and Mike, Donna Snyder (who drove from Delaware to attend and made scrumptious cup cakes and cookies), Amy, Allie (with her rat, Clover) her mom Kelly (they volunteer at the shelters) and myself. Lori Helmick and her husband stopped by. This is an annual event and keeps our presence in the forefront of the community and we always have fun.
Join the SPCA of Anne Arundel County for our 23rd annual Walk for the Animals! Runners and walkers alike are welcome to join us (with our without their 4-legged running partner) in a 5K through Quiet Waters Park to help raise awareness and donations in our largest fundraiser of the year. Visit the AA County SPCA website for more information.
